Knox's outreach ministry includes a monthly chapel service at a local nursing home.

Usually this service is on the fourth Thursday of each month at Friends Nursing Home in Sandy Spring, MD. the chapel service is from 11:15 to 11:45 AM, and involves a number of familiar hymns, prayer, and a short message from the Bible.

This is a word and deed ministry: we declare the love of God in the context of the service of worship, and demonstrate the love of God through visiting and interacting with the residents. Often this group includes young children, whose presence is especially appreciated by the members of the nursing home community!

Each month we gather together on Friday evening for a meal and time of fellowship and instruction in God's Word. This is an evening for the entire family, from youngest to oldest. Each evening's program will begin at 6:30 PM with a meal at the church building. You don't have to bring anything or pay anything - just come along and enjoy the fun and friendship of sharing a meal in our church hall.

After the meal, Pastor Martin will lead a Bible study in John's gospel, beginning at about 7:30 PM. This is a study for people who have honest questions about who Jesus is and what He has done for people. John has recorded a number of these encounters between Jesus and ordinary people in different situations.

Child care will be provided for young children, and there will be a planned, adult-supervised activity for children who are too young to participate in the study.

The evening's program will end promptly at 8:30 PM so that you won't begin the weekend with a late or unpredictable Friday night!
